The Internet to me is like the air that I breathe... the world I indulge in whenever I'm lonely... (okay too much info) but you get the idea... I LOVE the Internet. To make it work... we need a modem and in my case, a modem + wifi + router - a gadget I bought for myself almost 2 weeks back...

Strange things started happening
Everything was fine until things started getting weird. Downloading files from the Internet will cause the modem to hang and I was constantly disconnected from my WiFi. I started blaming the Internet Service Provider - but then I found out.. it was only me who was facing the problem? I restarted the wifi router soooo many times... but strangely... it would work... for awhile before it dies again...

I blamed the cordless phone
Whenever I picked up an incoming call... my Internet wouldn't work... so I started blaming the cordless phone... BUT the cordless phone was BRAND NEW? I HAD A MASSIVE HEADACHE! Here's me with my headache reliever :)



I finally narrowed it down...
It was the new modem + wifi + router gadget I bought... made a call to the 24 hr support hotline - was answered by someone in India I think... judging from the accent... we did a couple of tests... and then they went... Okay Mr Loh... We'll send you an e-mail... just go to the service center and they will handle the rest.

And that was not the end...
Then one of my lightning arrestors died as well... not the entire thing BUT just one socket... it was from the same manufacturer... called them again... and again... I was given another e-mail...

The magic...
I went to the service center... spoke to the technicians and apparently, it was lightning... one struck my modem and the other was due to 'old age' - yes, the lightning arrestor was close to 3 years old. Then the magic happened... within minutes... I was presented with...


2 NEW PRODUCTS! YAY!

I can't say "thank you" enough :P I guess from the packaging you can tell what brand it is... it's not an endorsement but I do speak for great products & service... and this brand... is certainly one of them :)
